The integrated online application and information system for international students (INOBIS) was developed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as part of its PROFIS programme, with funding from the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). INOBIS is a joint project by the higher education institutions in the state of Hesse belonging to the uni-assist network and uni-assist e.V..
uni-assist e.V. was founded as a registered association.
